Liam and Noel Gallagher did it. They put aside their animosity and family issues for an Oasis reunion after 16 years of the band being broken up. And the crowd in Cardiff was overwhelmed with emotion.
For a long time, it seemed as if Oasis was never going to reunite. Liam and Noel Gallagher had nothing but complete and utter disdain for one another. They were both, seemingly, financially secure and didn’t necessarily need to tour in order to replenish the bank. But something changed and music fans worldwide are better off for it.
As videos from the first two stops of the Oasis Live ’25 Tour began to hit social media as Oasis took the stage in Cardiff for their concerts, it became evident that A LOT of Oasis fans were in need of catharsis.
My TikTok feed over the weekend was filled with videos, often posted by girlfriends, showing the man in their life overwhelmed with emotion at the Oasis concerts. A perfect example of this can be seen right here in a video with the caption “Oasis was worth it to see the dads crying.”

It wasn’t just the fellas crying either, the ladies were shedding tears overwhelmed by emotion at the return of Oasis in Cardiff.
Oddly, Oasis is not yet in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It is only a matter of time until they get in though.
Looking ahead to that hypothetical future induction date, the songs that will likely be played at their likely induction ceremony include ‘Wonderwall,’ ‘Champagne Supernova,’ among others. And those were the songs that fans were excited to see in Cardiff for the first two Oasis Live ’25 Tour concerts.
For me though, ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ has always been my favorite. Years ago when I studied abroad my favorite bar would always blast that song right before last call at about 5am. Seeing the Gallagher brothers on stage together belting it out is incredible:

When the Gallagher brothers took the stage for the first Oasis concert since August 2009, the roof was ready to explode in Cardiff. This clip captures the electric energy in the room:

Through the first two Oasis Live ’25 Tour concerts, the set list remained the same. So fans looking to hit multiple concert stops should be prepared for that if the trend holds.
Liam and Noel Gallagher played the HITS through the first two Oasis concerts though and fans weren’t left begging for anything from the vault, necessarily. Here is what the set list looked like…

1. “Hello”
2. “Acquiesce”
3. “Morning Glory”
4. “Some Might Say”
5. “Bring It On Down”
6. “Cigarettes & Alcohol”
7. “Fade Away”
8. “Supersonic”
9. “Roll with It”
10. “Talk Tonight”
11. “Half the World Away”
12. “Little by Little”
13. “D’You Know What I Mean?”
14. “Stand by Me”
15. “Cast No Shadow”
16. “Slide Away”

A 19-song set + 4-song encore with some of the band’s greatest hits is about everything that Oasis fans can ask for from a concert.
The next set of Oasis concerts begin on July 11 at Heaton Park in Manchester. They play 5 concerts at Heaton Park before moving on to Wembley Stadium in London and elsewhere.
