'Monster' Season 4 Will Focus on Lizzie Borden Case (Report)

It looks like Netflix has already renewed Ryan Murphy‘s Monster anthology season for a fourth go-around, despite the third season not even debuting yet!

Not only that, but season 4 already has a focus and a targeted filming date.

Monster routinely follows real life true crime figures. Season 1 focused on Jeffrey Dahmer with Evan Peters as the lead. Season 2 followed the Menendez brothers.

Season three is set to star Charlie Hunnam as serial killer Ed Gein.

Now, season four will follow the infamous case of Lizzie Borden, Variety reports. Apparently, they’re aiming for a fall shoot date, though no casting has been confirmed at this time.

Lizzie Borden was accused of brutally murdering her father and stepmother in 1892. Despite public suspicion and a sensational trial, she was acquitted. The case remains one of America’s most famous unsolved mysteries. Lizzie lived the rest of her life in Fall River, Massachusetts.

If you don’t know much about the case and want to learn more, the investigative news show 48 Hours aired a special on her and you can see some footage from it above.

Monster season 3 already filmed and you can see set photos here.
