Actor Jason Mamoa was spotted getting rowdy at the Black Sabbath farewell concert over the weekend. Black Sabbath’s farewell concert, titled “Back to the Beginning,” was held at Villa Park in Birmingham — the band’s hometown — on Saturday, July 5.

“Back to the Beginning” the first time that the original Black Sabbath line-up of Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward performed together since 2005, with Ozzy seated on a bat-winged throne due to his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease.

During the Pantera portion of the show, Jason Mamoa — who most recently starred in the billion-dollar-grossing Minecraft movie — was filmed mixing into the crowd and getting a rowdy mosh pit going.

“I’d love to say ‘never say never’, but after the last six years or so … it is time. I lived on the road for 50-odd years, and I’ve kind of got used to not picking up my bags and getting on the bus again,” Osborne said prior to the historic concert.

“I don’t smoke dope or do any of the rock star lifestyle any more. I’m kind of like a homebody. I never go out. I never hang out in bars – I don’t drink. So what the f— is out there for me? I hate going shopping with my wife. I feel like stabbing myself in the neck after half an hour. But it’s time for me to spend some time with my grandkids, I don’t want to die in a hotel room somewhere. I want to spend the rest of my life with my family.”

In addition to Black Sabbath, the farewell concert also included performances from iconic bands such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Slayer, and Pantera, and a drum showdown between Blink-182’s Travis Barker, Tool’s Danny Carey, and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith.

Black Sabbath closed out the show with renditions of their iconic hits “War Pigs,” “NIB,” “Iron Man,” and “Paranoid,” with Osborne also getting visibly emotional while singing “Mama I’m Coming Home”.”
