It appears that Dree Hemingway has joined the cast of Ryan Murphy‘s upcoming series American Love Story!

The 37-year-old actress was spotted in costume while filming scenes with co-star Paul Kelly on Tuesday (July 8) in New York City.

Dree is the great-granddaughter of legendary author Ernest Hemingway. She has had a successful modeling career and has appeared in movies like Starlet, While We’re Young, and It Happened in L.A.

Dree appears to be playing real-life actress Daryl Hannah, who was in a relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr.

JFK Jr. dated Daryl for five and a half years after knowing each other for years. Their relationship began after seeing each other again at the wedding of his aunt Lee Radziwill in 1988.

Years after the breakup, JFK Jr. married Carolyn Bessette, who will be portrayed by Sarah Pidgeon in the upcoming series. The couple tragically passed away in a plane crash in 1999 when she was 33 and he was 38. They were the subject of lots of media scrutiny when their romance began, through their deaths.

Just recently, a member of the Kennedy family slammed the upcoming series and called out Ryan for not consulting with them.
