Denise Richards‘ comments about her marriage to Aaron Phypers are gaining attention following their divorce announcement.

During a March episode of her Bravo series Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, the 53-year-old actress opened up about her marriage and past divorce.

During the episode, Denise and her then husband Aaron, 52, shared that the two of them would “never” get a divorce.

“Yeah, I’m never getting divorced again. Even if we hate each other, I’m not gonna f—ing get divorced,” Denise said during the episode. Prior to her marriage to Aaron, she was married to Charlie Sheen from 2002 until filing for divorce in 2005.

In response, Aaron chimed in and said, “No, we’ll just have different homes or something. But we’re not gonna hate each other.”

Despite their comments, Aaron filed for divorce on Monday (July 7), citing “irreconcilable differences” with a separation date of July 4 being listed on the papers.
