Angel Reese was not happy during the Chicago Sky’s most recent loss to the Washington Mystics. While she posted a game-high 22 points and 15 boards, frustrations boiled over by game’s end.

Reese was seen slapping a clipboard from the hands of an assistant coach on the bench in the final moments of a tie contest. Her anger would only grow as the Sky fell, 81-79.

It was a game of ups and downs for the Chicago forward. We mentioned that 22-point performance. The output helped her record a sixth-straight double-double.

Shooting was improved in this matchup, too, as she went 5-of-9 from the floor. She added 12 points from the free throw line to bolster that scoring total.

Her charity stripe presence was a welcomed change after she blasted WNBA officials for swallowing their whistles the game prior. Unfortunately, the final result was the same as the Sky dropped to 5-13 on the season.

With the good came the bad. Angel Reese racked up three turnovers and five personal fouls to provide her opponent with easy scoring opportunities. One giveaway, in particular is now going viral.

The steal would allow the Mystics to take a 22-19 lead into the intermission. Things wouldn’t get much better after the sloppy first quarter mistake.

Angel Reese slapped a clipboard out of frustration

The Sky overcame a fourth quarter deficit to tie the game at 77-77 in the final minute of action. Washington then missed a layup on the ensuing possession but got an offensive rebound to keep the ball.

Chicago’s Ariel Watkins was whistled for a foul. The Sky unsuccessfully challenged. Reese was seen walking to the sidelines as officials attempted to figure things out.

Reese slapped a clipboard from a staff member’s hand on the bench. She was unhappy with the Sky’s inability to get a stop on the defensive end.

That reaction might’ve made her former college coach proud. Kim Mulkey went viral in January for doing the exact same thing to assistant Seimone Augustus. Reese followed suit in her avenue of displaying displeasure.

The Mystics would miss both free throws on that foul but nabbed another offensive rebound, which they turned into a go-ahead layup. The Sky would trail from that moment on. Angel Reese showed out, but her sideline tirade overshadowed that performance in another Chicago loss.
