And Just Like That, the Sex & The City sequel series, is making headlines right now because of a seemingly massive plot hole.
On last week’s Season 3 episode, titled “Silent Mode,” Lisa Todd Wexley (Nicole Ari Parker) learned that her father (Billy Dee Williams) died.
However, as fans quickly pointed out, Lisa’s father had already died by Season 1.

Lisa told her friend Charlotte (Kristin Davis) in Season 1 that she had lost her father the previous year. Lisa had told Charlotte, “I was exactly the same when my father died last year” with regard to Carrie’s (Sarah Jessica Parker) grief after losing Big (Chris Noth).
And yet, by Season 2, Billy played her father, Lawrence Todd, in the episode “ALIVE!”
While social media users speculated that Lisa could have two gay dads, a source close to the set revealed to IndieWire what the alleged truth is.
“A source close to the series tells IndieWire that the deceased ‘dad’ in Season 1 of And Just Like That is Lisa Todd Wexley’s stepfather,” the outlet reported.
